Energy and Water Ombudsman makes final order against electricity retailer

Sanctuary Energy Pty Ltd has been ordered by the Energy and Water Ombudsman Queensland to pay one of its customers an outstanding solar feed-in credit; the Queensland Government Electricity Rebate; and compensation in consideration of the delay in finalising the account, the errors and omissions in the final bill, and the anguish and distress caused to the customer by the retailer’s conduct.

Under section 34(2) of the Energy and Water Ombudsman Act 2006, the Energy and Water Ombudsman may decide to make a final order in favour of a customer.
