High energy consumption

Energy and Water Ombudsman Queensland can only assist small energy customers in Queensland and small water customers in south east Queensland.

A small customer is defined as:

  • electricity consumption less than 100 megawatt hours a year
  • gas consumption less than one terajoule a year
  • all residential water customers or small businesses using less than 100 kilolitres a year.
